Denomination: 5 Cents; Composition: 0.925 silver, 0.075 copper; Weight (1912): 1.18 grams; Weight (1917-29): 1.17 grams; Diameter (1912-19): 15.49 mm; Diameter (1929): 15.69 mm; Edge: reeded.

The obverse was that used for the Dominion of Canada and the reverse is the same as the Newfoundland Edward VII.
