Denomination: 1 Cent; Composition: 0.95 copper, 0.04 tin, 0.01 zinc; Weight: 5.67 grams; Diameter: 25.53 mm; Edge: plain

The reverse was a modification of the Victorian reverse with the Imperial State crown replacing the crown of King Edward. The obverse was similar to those for the Dominion of Canada with very large bust and small letter size in the legend.
